Dr. Emmans is currently a grant writer for the College of Extended Studies at San Diego State University. Her background is largely academic and includes more than 30 years of teaching experience in many venues, from a traditional music classroom to online graduate courses for teachers. From 1994 to 2001 she was a professor of educational technology at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Other significant experience includes teaching and administrative positions with Boston University's Overseas Programs, and Walden University's online degree programs. Recent articles include, Character Education and Media Literacy, Finding Common Ground; The Internet in the ECE Classroom, Friend or Foe?; and Internet Ethics.
