Donna Brown is in her second year as Assistant Professor of Counseling and Student Affairs at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Prior to this, she was the Assistant Director of American Indian Student Services at the University of North Dakota. She has fifteen years of experience in student affairs/services. In addition to teaching courses for JIU and MSUM, she has taught courses for the Educational Leadership department at UND.
Donna has published and presented nationally on providing support services to American Indians including a chapter in New Directions for Student Services: Serving Native American students in Higher Education, San Francisco: Jossey-Bass. She recently wrote a book review for Counseling Today, an ACA publication. Donna serves as vice-chair of the National Advisory Council on Indian Education and as chair of the Indigenous Peoples Knowledge Community for Region IV-East of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
