With over a decade of experience in banking and finance, Lyn Bush has worked on three continents, in 3 of the world's premier financial capitals of New York, Tokyo and Frankfurt at J.P. Morgan Chase and Dresdner Bank. Time spent in Tokyo, the result of her study at Waseda University and mastery of Japanese, also included a stint in global marketing at IR Japan. Starting in the late 1990s, Dr. Bush began transferring this global economic skills set to the Academy via teaching appointments in Europe and the US. For the last five years, she has worked as a Health Economist who divides her time between research and consultancy in the UK, Northern Europe, and the US.

Dr. Bush has written and researched extensively using mathematical models generally, and Markov models specifically, along with discrete event simulation, in preparing budget impact analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses for submission to regulatory authorities in Europe. She also researches the intersection of health and finance. Her publications include "The Asian Financial Crisis-Regional Capitulation or Re-Direction?" in Journal of Third World Studies 22(1), Spring 2005, and "The Asian Financial Crisis: Lessons for a Resilient Asia," in East-West Connections: Review of Asian Studies 4, Fall 2004.
