You may be much closer to a degree than you think. Click on the following options for earning credits toward a JIU degree program:

JIU Scholarships

JIU is proud to offer all military personnel (active, retired, honorably discharged and reserve) and their dependents a 20 percent tuition scholarship toward all graduate level courses and certificate programs.

We also offer a military undergraduate scholarship with tuition set at $750 per three-credit course for all active, retired, guard, honorably discharged and reserve military personnel and their dependents. In addition, the application and technology fees will be waived for the undergraduate programs.

Beginning November 2008, a 20 percent scholarship on undergraduate and graduate programs will be extended to all active Department of Defense employees.

Military Tuition Assistance

Spouses to Teachers Program

As an accredited educational provider, JIU supports both the Troops to Teachers and the Spouses to Teachers programs for students who want to transition into the classroom. Our exceptional School of Education provides a variety of graduate degree programs and licensure for armed forces personnel and their families to advance their careers as K-12 teachers.
